Introduction/ What is this website?

Hey this is Dave from Stuff Outdoor Dad’s Like.

I’m just creating this new blog that hopefully will help people like me, Outdoor Dad’s/Parents who are trying to get outside with their family, still have a good time, and do some of the stuff they did before they had kids or some new stuff that you are really interested in doing now. So, that is what this blog is, an outdoor gear review site primarily with adult and kids gear that I’ve been stoked on and has been helping me get outside with my kids.

So, what are we going to talk about?
  • Whole genres like used gear sites like Patagonia’s Worn Wear or REI’s used gear site,
  • Stuff that I like in general not really a specific product but things that make me happy.  It might be about types of gear like kids balance bikes, like this one.  They are great for getting two year olds transitioning from a tricycle to a bigger bike and getting you guys outside on the trail again.  It could be stuff like messenger bags, like this one. Maybe not brand name or one specifically but just the kind of stuff I like.
  • It could be specific gear like Blundstones or Birkenstocks, stuff that I can’t seem to live without.
  • It is also going to be a random top 100 list including stuff like sleep or living in an affordable outdoor community.

Now, is this going to be low budget? Of course it is going to be low budget!  I have kids and expensive hobbies getting outside.  It is going to be videos of me standing in my basement while the kids are upstairs sleeping so I can give you guys good content.  Do I want to make money?  Yeah! That would be great.  Toddler needs new hiking boots! Really though this is a passion project.  I like stuff that works well and it drives me crazy when it doesn’t so if I can do some research and find something I really like and then I can help you get that same thing and get the best experience out of it that is kind of the goal.

So check us out here, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram @StuffOutdoorDadsLike

Until next time I hope you get outside with your family.
